We had a fun time on the lake yesterday! Hopefully the weather will hold out on us today and we can get to our POI's as well. We will keep you posted.

Yesterday during church time we learned a lot about working as a team, speaking up and listening to each other. All things our kids needed to hear. And last night each of our youth identified a time of day they could commit to being in the Word each day- so hold us to it! So when you see our kids on Facebook, make sure to comment "TAWG?" to ask them if they have spent "time along with God" yet today.

Day One Continues on...

With a rainy afternoon... We had no POIs due to buckets of rain pouring down. But it gave us some much needed church hangout time. Yay!

Day One: Here we go!

Day One is underway! I don't have any exciting pictures to share yet, but here is a look at the POIs (Point of Impact- the fun afternoon activities the kids got to sign up for) out kids have today:

- Brett, Scot & Bostick have field games
- Katie, Becca & Sarah have Arts and Crafts
- Bridgette, Haley, Paige, Dustin Meador & Gracie are going to be Zip Lining!
- Aaron, Penny, Miranda, Jonathan & Colton are playing Bazooka Ball
- Hannah Carter is tubing
- Jason is playing basketball

We have ten girls and eight boys with us this year, and so far they are all still alive ;-) haha!

The theme of camp is "I AM JONAH" and we will be studying the book of Jonah in the Old Testament. Today is "God calls Jonah" and we are looking at God's call and Jonah's rebellion. We will explore how our response to God's call is often like Jonah's. Parents, I challenge you to read the book of Jonah this week and be ready to engage your students when they get back about what the Lord had taught them.
